Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, debug, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Design and implement improvements to scalable web services, applications, and existing codebases.
- Conduct peer reviews, architecture reviews, and code reviews.
- Identify quality issues and common patterns and develop standard operating procedures.
- Lead technical work, mentor less experienced developers, and provide technical direction on complex projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues, product stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and customer support.
- Investigate and apply relevant new technologies and participate in additional projects as needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
- At least 5 years of Java Full Stack Development and Java Enterprise Edition experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading the architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- At least 3.5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Understanding of unit, functional, performance, and test-driven development practices.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, and Snowflake is a plus.
- Experience with software security-enhancing tools and best practices and at least one shell scripting language.
- Understanding of big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Proven experience in cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives.
- Ability to translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact and operate across business, product, architecture, and implementation levels.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
