Responsibilities
- Analyze client needs and develop application solutions within an agile team.
- Design and develop reusable UI and backend components using Java, React or Angular, and related technologies.
- Maintain and support existing software applications.
- Write database queries and stored procedures and perform performance tuning.
- Analyze requirements with minimal guidance and independently complete coding and unit testing.
- Assess task duration, complexity, progress, and risks, and take responsibility for resolving critical issues.
- Coordinate with technical teams, SQA, business analysts, production support, and client support.
- Prepare system documentation and ensure assigned tasks are completed successfully by deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering, computer science degree, or equivalent.
- 5 –10 years of software development experience using Java/J2EE and related technologies.
- Expert-level experience with Java 8+, JEE, concurrency, JDBC, React, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Git, and MQ/Kafka.
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system and strong knowledge of data modeling and database development.
- Strong programming, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and learning skills.
- Preferred knowledge of cloud development, Azure or AWS, Tomcat Server, Veracode, and Black Duck issue mitigation.
- Financial markets domain knowledge, including derivatives, equities, fixed income mathematics, asset classes, market data, settlement, and clearing, is preferred.
