Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate high-throughput systems for Teams, Organizations, Projects, and Tags.
- Own architecture, implementation, production operation, and significant technical workstreams within Account Management.
- Lead the design and delivery of console-facing capabilities such as reporting dashboards and notification systems.
- Prioritize and resolve technical debt, aging tickets, and security rule coverage gaps.
- Design scalable data models and service boundaries that support millions of events per second and graceful degradation.
- Drive reliability and performance improvements and lead incident response and postmortems for complex cross-service issues.
- Partner with Product Management and Design to shape the Accounts roadmap and assess technical feasibility and risk.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and pairing.
- Apply cloud-security expertise and Infrastructure as Code to harden account-management systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of software engineering experience delivering complex, cloud-scale distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Go and JavaScript/Node.js, with exposure to Python and Rust.
- Experience designing high-throughput, scalable systems handling large data volumes and millions of events per second.
- Deep experience with at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure and strong knowledge of cloud security models.
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Helm, and Chef.
- Strong grounding in distributed systems and microservices architecture, including consistency, partitioning, and failure modes.
- Ability to collaborate across a global organization and communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.
- Knowledge of cryptography and secure communication protocols is a plus.
- Open-source contributions to security or distributed-systems projects are a plus.
- Experience with identity and access management systems is a plus.
