Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end power optimization across architecture, hardware, firmware, kernel, Android, and system software teams.
- Define, prototype, and evaluate power features using pre-silicon emulation, models, and trace-based studies through post-silicon validation and productization.
- Own post-silicon power KPI execution, including battery-life, gaming, and multimedia use cases, root-cause debugging, power walks, correlation, and optimization.
- Perform software trade-off analysis using rapid prototyping, experiments, and trace-driven studies for scheduler, DVFS, low-power mode, and system-level design choices.
- Tune or develop firmware, Linux kernel, and system algorithms for scheduling, low-power modes, bus and DDR scaling, and SoC power-state transitions.
- Scale power debugging, analysis, telemetry, tooling, automation, and AI-assisted workflows across platforms and geographies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong foundation in computer architecture and system design, including memory management and hierarchies, CPU/GPU architectures, processes, threads, and scheduling.
- Proven embedded software development expertise and the ability to design and implement moderately complex systems software.
- Hands-on firmware and Linux kernel development experience is required.
- Understanding of electrical engineering, digital logic, low-power design principles, and power-saving techniques is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and independent-work skills in cross-functional, multidisciplinary environments.
