Base Salary

$146k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Break larger projects into tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and product development, articulating technical constraints and evaluating risks and trade-offs.
  • Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues when needed, and support operational availability, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts.
  • Participate in team growth and development activities, including the interview process.
  • Build and operate systems supporting card authorization, transaction processing, card and account lifecycle management, tokenization, and platform security.

Requirements

  • At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems.
  • Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to design solutions spanning multiple software components and write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
  • Ability to navigate large codebases, debug code, and provide code review feedback.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
