Base Salary
$115k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated UI, API, database, regression, performance, and compliance tests.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for every build, deployment, and nightly run.
- Triage test failures, distinguish product defects from environment or test-harness issues, and drive resolution through reproducible bug reports.
- Validate deployments and post-deployment health across lower and production environments.
- Test HIPAA and SOX compliance, including PHI handling, access controls, logging, and requirements traceability.
- Participate in risk assessments, validation processes, release-readiness reviews, and evidence-based go/no-go recommendations.
- Apply AI-assisted tools to test authoring, failure triage, and coverage analysis while ensuring test correctness.
- Mentor junior QA engineers through pairing and code review and support internal users with troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software QA experience, including 5+ years writing test automation.
- Strong programming ability in at least one automation language, with Java and/or Python preferred.
- Hands-on UI automation experience with Playwright or Selenium.
- API testing experience with REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools, including schema, contract, and authentication checks.
- Experience running tests in CI/CD using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools, with reporting such as Allure.
- Solid SQL experience, such as MySQL, and careful handling of regulated test data.
- Experience with performance and load testing using JMeter, k6, Gatling, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- ISTQB/ASTQB certification is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, including ECS/Fargate, Lambda, and S3, Azure, Docker, or regulated environments such as CLIA/CAP laboratories, FDA, or SOX is preferred.
