Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance engineering configurators, design automation tools, and digital engineering applications.
- Create and maintain product rules, calculations, configuration logic, engineering databases, templates, and automated workflows.
- Translate engineering requirements and product knowledge into scalable digital solutions.
- Support integration with CAD, PLM, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
- Validate and test engineering applications for accuracy, reliability, and product alignment.
- Develop technical documentation, training materials, and user guides, and provide technical support and training.
- Support New Product Introduction by deploying new products and engineering knowledge into configuration and automation systems.
- Contribute to Design to Value, product standardization, process optimization, cost reduction, data quality, and design governance initiatives.
- Support digital engineering roadmaps, best practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience developing, supporting, or enhancing engineering software tools, configurators, automation systems, or technical applications.
- Experience with CAD, PLM, ERP, product data management, or engineering configuration platforms.
- Working knowledge of Python, C#, VBA, SQL, JavaScript, or similar programming or scripting technologies.
- Experience with engineering calculations, product structures, configuration rules, technical specifications, or product development processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work across engineering, manufacturing, IT, and business functions.
- Preferred experience with product configurators, design automation tools, CPQ systems, or rule-based engineering applications.
- Preferred experience with Creo, Windchill, SAP, database development, systems integration, reporting tools, or engineering data governance.
- Preferred experience with industrial products, power equipment, transformer components, manufacturing environments, Design to Value, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DFM/DFA, or continuous improvement.
