Base Salary
$197k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction and architecture of Salesforce’s Falcon Kubernetes Platform.
- Design and implement distributed systems, control planes, APIs, and asynchronous workflows operating across thousands of clusters.
- Create complex design documents and present architectural strategies to senior technical and cross-functional audiences.
- Evaluate and integrate open-source technologies into the FKP software stack.
- Identify architectural gaps, propose solutions, and drive major design decisions.
- Guide implementation across the team and mentor other engineers.
- Set technical priorities, lead concurrent initiatives, and build consensus across teams.
- Help establish DevOps practices and operate secure, reliable, and cost-efficient infrastructure at massive scale.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Golang or equivalent programming languages and working shell knowledge with Bash.
- 8+ years of experience with distributed systems, APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration at scale.
- 5+ years of experience with AWS and/or GCP services.
- Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience with CI/CD services such as Jenkins, Argo, or Spinnaker.
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ElasticSearch, or Argus.
- A track record of architecting and operating planet-scale systems with ownership of major design decisions.
- Proven ability to design and operate APIs and asynchronous workflows at scale.
- AI proficiency for accelerating design, development, and operations.
- Strong technical leadership, mentorship, communication, prioritization, and cross-team influence skills.
