Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and operate scalable backend services and libraries for AI- and LLM-driven features.
- Integrate and harden model providers, tools, and agent capabilities behind clean, versioned interfaces with reliable failure handling, observability, and cost and latency awareness.
- Build agent execution, evaluation, regression, and quality tooling to measure and gate AI behavior.
- Develop proactive, multimodal customer experiences across Alexa, Fire TV, mobile, wearable, and other device surfaces.
- Apply security-conscious, fail-closed design to credentials, user data, tool execution, and autonomous actions.
- Work with AI coding assistants and agentic workflows while critically reviewing generated code and maintaining engineering rigor.
- Collaborate with internal teams and product partners, write production code, contribute to designs, and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- At least three years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least two years of experience contributing to new and existing systems architecture and design, including architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across coding standards, software architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
- Preferred experience with industry-standard tools and scripting languages such as Python or Perl for automation.
