Responsibilities
- Establish standards for system design, development, quality, and testing.
- Design and communicate enterprise system architectures.
- Design interoperability and integrations between systems.
- Analyze needs, gather requirements, and translate them into system architecture.
- Map business objectives, project benefits, priorities, system components, and functions.
- Analyze existing systems and identify solution options.
- Maintain and monitor architecture throughout the system lifecycle.
- Estimate development work and participate in system design, testing, quality assurance, and change management.
- Prepare system documentation and lead technical presentations.
- Lead development teams and supervise software delivery processes.
- Select and evaluate technologies.
- Collect and interpret system metrics and optimize systems for performance, security, and quality.
Requirements
- Hold at least two architecture or software engineering certifications, such as TOGAF Certified or Certified UML Professional, or equivalent certifications.
- Have served as a key architect in the development of at least two systems.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of system architecture and enterprise solution design.
- Have experience planning system performance and security.
- Have strong knowledge of databases, application servers, middleware, web servers, directory services, GIS, security on Microsoft platforms, integrations, and IDEs.
- Be proficient in UML design and have experience with RUP, ISO12207, and Agile methodologies.
- Have experience with modeling tools such as Sparx EA, Aris Architect, or similar tools.
- Have practical experience designing large systems using microservices architecture.
- Have experience building large knowledge systems and creating .NET solutions.
- Have experience with Kafka, SQL Server, Redis, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps.
- Be familiar with new technologies and AI-based tools used for work automation, information analysis, and content preparation.
- Be able to operate as a sole proprietor or business entity in Poland due to the project-based nature of the engagement.
- Preferred qualifications include international system architecture experience, previous Lead Architect or Principal Architect experience, scalability and high-availability optimization experience, and additional architecture, cloud, or software engineering certifications.
