Base Salary
$168k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize software architectures, algorithms, and system performance.
- Optimize software for AWS customers and services including S3, Lambda, EMR, ElastiCache, and RDS.
- Contribute improvements to the Linux kernel and other open-source projects.
- Develop software performance analysis frameworks and automation systems.
- Debug and optimize C++ and Rust code across customer applications, internal services, and open-source projects.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles.
- Preferred experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
- Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
