Base Salary

$150k - $185k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own and improve meaningful production systems.
  • Design, build, and maintain backend services and web interfaces.
  • Solve complex backend problems while contributing across the full stack.
  • Improve system reliability, maintainability, performance, and code quality.
  • Contribute to technical, architectural, and engineering-practice decisions.
  • Own complex technical work independently from problem definition through delivery.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and company leadership.
  • Deliver software that has visible impact on products, customers, and the company.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to reason through complex systems and make sound engineering decisions.
  • Experience designing and shipping production systems or developing and maintaining production web applications and services.
  • Strong backend fundamentals and comfort contributing to frontend work.
  • Experience with .NET, C#, Entity Framework Core, React, Java, Spring Boot, or comparable technologies is relevant.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, articulate tradeoffs, learn unfamiliar technologies, and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Ability to evaluate technical and architectural decisions independently, review generated code critically, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Comfort working in a mid-stage startup with evolving priorities, limited documentation, and broad engineering responsibilities.

  • Annual base salary of $150,000-$185,000.
