Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver flexible, scalable software solutions for satellite-constellation operation and planning optimization problems.
- Build production cloud-native software, services, and APIs in Java using AWS and other Amazon technologies.
- Develop low-latency, highly scalable systems that simulate and orchestrate software running on Kuiper satellites, ground gateways, and customer terminals.
- Collaborate with peer teams and customers to design systems that meet mission requirements.
- Define technical roadmaps and determine which software services to build.
- Automate and refine software development, implementation, testing, maintenance, and operational processes.
- Provide operational excellence and mentor new team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee due to export-control requirements.
