Responsibilities
- Partner with software engineering teams to understand workflows and identify opportunities for AI-enabled improvement.
- Design, build, test, and maintain AI-enabled prototypes, integrations, tools, and production-quality examples.
- Contribute data and analysis to the group AI enablement dashboard and communicate progress and lessons learned.
- Create technical documentation, guidance, and reusable examples for engineering teams.
- Apply security, data-protection, intellectual-property, and responsible-AI requirements.
- Review technical work and provide constructive guidance to colleagues.
Requirements
- Strong current software engineering skills covering software design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Practical experience applying generative AI or AI-assisted engineering tools to software development workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including evaluating options where established procedures do not fully apply.
- Experience reviewing technical work and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor information to the audience.
- Preferred: experience with Codex, OpenAI APIs, or comparable AI coding and agent platforms.
- Preferred: fluency in at least one of Python, Go, or Bash.
- Preferred: experience with GitLab, Gerrit, and Artifactory.
- Preferred: understanding of embedded software development in C/C++.
- Preferred: experience in technical guidance, peer review, mentoring, or knowledge sharing.
