Responsibilities
- Improve software quality, delivery efficiency, and release times through DevOps practices.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Jenkins.
- Manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Support containerization, automation, monitoring, reliability, and performance improvements.
- Manage database architecture, integration, and schema changes using tools such as Liquibase.
- Write automation scripts using Python and support Java builds with Maven.
- Apply GitOps principles and define DevOps best practices.
- Translate business requirements into technical implementations and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Act as a business subject-matter expert and facilitate the transfer of business knowledge.
- Travel as required and attain UK Security Clearance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
- Practical experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with multiple database ecosystems, architecture, and integration.
- Experience with monitoring tools for system reliability and performance.
- Proficiency with AWS Cloud and Jenkins pipeline setup and maintenance.
- Experience with database schema change management, such as Liquibase.
- Ability to write automation scripts, such as Python.
- Understanding of GitOps principles.
- Experience with Java programming and Maven builds.
- Willingness to travel.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing, and business analysis skills.
