Base Salary

$186k - $256k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead ECU-level bring-up of new infotainment hardware platforms, including initial boot, driver integration, and system-level debugging.
  • Design and develop software features for ECU specification validation and use resulting test insights to improve production diagnostics.
  • Develop comprehensive stress-testing and performance-benchmarking strategies for CPU, GPU, NPU, and multimedia subsystems.
  • Develop and maintain end-of-line manufacturing software for ECU testing and quality control.
  • Validate and optimize camera and display subsystems across drivers, middleware, and user-space applications.
  • Troubleshoot complex ECU-level hardware and software issues using debugging tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers, validation and test automation teams, software architects, OEMs, and ODMs.
  • Create and maintain software design, API, and test-procedure documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of embedded software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with high-performance or automotive-grade SoCs such as Snapdragon, NVIDIA Orin, or MediaTek.
  • Proficiency with Embedded Linux, QNX, DriveOS, and hypervisor-based systems such as Type-1 hypervisors, Gunyah, or ACRN.
  • Strong multimedia development background focused on camera and/or display subsystems, including driver integration, middleware, and user-space applications.
  • Experience developing ECU-level software for complex infotainment systems and analyzing and optimizing CPU, GPU, and NPU workloads.
  • Expert proficiency in C, C++, and Python, plus scripting experience with Python and shell.
  • Understanding of Linux and RTOS fundamentals, board support packages, kernel configuration, device-driver interfaces, and debugging tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Lauterbach, oscilloscopes, JTAG, and flashing tools.
  • Understanding of SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and PCIe protocol stacks and board bring-up.
  • Preferred: knowledge of operating-system internals, automotive hypervisors and virtualization, ARM architecture, electronic test equipment, embedded toolchains, CAN, ISO 26262, and CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced startup, consumer electronics, or automotive environments and communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
