Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, development, and delivery of enterprise Subscriber Management System applications and services.
- Define architecture patterns, technical principles, modernization roadmaps, and reusable engineering standards for the SMS ecosystem.
- Develop custom opcodes, policy opcodes, pricing configurations, and real-time rating solutions using Oracle BRM.
- Drive integrations with payment gateways, taxation systems, provisioning systems, customer platforms, and other enterprise systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to architects, senior engineers, technical leads, and development teams.
- Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, performance tuning, technical estimation, solution planning, deployments, production issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Establish architecture governance and influence enterprise strategy across Technology, Product, Finance, Operations, and business teams.
- Evaluate technologies and recommend strategies for subscriber management, billing, payments, provisioning, cloud modernization, and enterprise integration.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of enterprise software development and architecture experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 8 years with a master’s degree, or 6 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive Oracle BRM experience covering real-time rating, pricing configuration, billing and invoicing, policy opcode modification, and custom opcode development.
- Expertise in opcode development, memory management, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, enterprise integrations, and microservices architecture.
- Strong software development skills in C, SQL, Python, and Java within Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications in production environments.
- Experience integrating payment processors or gateways such as Paymentech or Worldpay.
- Cloud-native architecture, containerization, Kubernetes, and modernization experience are preferred.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, Gemini, or Codex CLI is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, leadership, independent judgment, and cross-functional influence skills.
- Must have legal right to work in the United States.
