Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, code, test, debug, and enhance complex proprietary and purchased software applications.
- Prepare technical specifications, designs, and user stories for software development and configuration.
- Troubleshoot defects, system issues, data-workflow bottlenecks, and performance problems with minimal guidance.
- Lead high-complexity application development projects and participate in defining application scope and objectives.
- Provide escalated IT support and resolution for issues referred by IT Customer Support.
- Perform code reviews and complete required follow-up actions.
- Maintain vendor relationships to resolve problems and coordinate delivery of IT products and services.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced programmer/analysts.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience working with IBM i programs using static and dynamic SQL, Data Queues, Journals, Journal Receivers, Triggers, Functions, and Data Management.
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, Angular, and other object-oriented languages.
- Experience with Agile teams and ceremonies.
- Experience with FTP, FTP encryption, and secure FTP communications.
- Experience supporting complex systems integrated with Oracle, Salesforce, AWS, and other hybrid applications.
- Experience with analysis tools such as X-Analysis, Hawkeye, and Abstract.
- Familiarity with Visual Explain and other IBM tools for tuning complex queries.
- Experience with CL, RPG, SQLRPG, DB2, RPG Free, and stored procedures.
- Experience with RDi, RDP, ACS, VS Code, or other graphical software-development tools and free-form SQL in large databases.
- Advanced knowledge of IBM i Work Management, including job queues, subsystems, and interactive and batch debugging.
- Familiarity with current IBM i operating-system features, including V7R4 and V7R5.
