Responsibilities
- Drive best practices and adoption of observability tools, especially Datadog.
- Optimize deployment methodologies using GitHub Actions and AWS ECS.
- Drive adoption of SRE best practices for Taptap Send service management.
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code projects, especially with Terraform.
- Work with engineering teams to ensure optimal system operation and respond to large-scale incidents.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, CircleCI, and Buildkite.
- Hands-on software engineering experience as part of a larger team or project; open-source experience is acceptable.
- Experience scripting in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and container schedulers including AWS ECS, AWS EKS, Kubernetes, and Mesos/Marathon.
- Hands-on cloud experience, especially with AWS; AWS certification is preferred.
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field, or seven years of equivalent experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
