Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate low-latency online feature-serving systems for personalization and ranking models.
- Design and scale near-real-time streaming pipelines that transform customer actions into model-ready features within seconds.
- Build unified datasets and data products supporting downstream models, experiments, and science evaluations.
- Own data contracts and maintain consistency between online serving and offline training.
- Operate production reliability practices including monitoring, alerting, freshness and availability SLAs, and graceful degradation.
- Take ambiguous problems through design, launch, and measurement of model and customer impact.
- Partner with applied scientists and modeling teams to deliver reliable production-grade data.
- Deliver high-quality software in an agile environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scale.
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ years of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
