Base Salary
$121k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Make design decisions for public safety data products and high-availability, high-throughput web-scale systems.
- Own and drive end-to-end features in collaboration with Product and Design.
- Participate in code reviews and architecture design meetings.
- Ensure code meets high standards for quality and performance.
- Partner with internal teams and agencies to make public safety data accessible and actionable.
- Influence peers, advise senior leaders, and coach and mentor junior team members.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and contribute to the broader Dedrone engineering community.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, graduate of a coding boot camp, or 3+ years of relevant experience in a related field.
- Experience developing and maintaining end-to-end, high-availability, high-throughput web-scale data systems.
- Backend experience with managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, or similar.
- Ability to make difficult technical decisions based on requirements, constraints, and trade-offs.
- Industry experience with SQL or NoSQL data stores is preferred.
- Good Linux, Unix, or Mac experience is preferred.
- Interest in current software engineering and open-source technologies.
