Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and scale backend APIs and services for product features.
- Collaborate with mobile, product, design, risk, and data teams to address member pain points.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the reliability and scalability of systems.
- Uphold high technical standards across the engineering team.
- Participate in code reviews, on-call rotations, and incident follow-ups.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience in a production environment.
- Proven experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks.
- Experience with transactional databases and caching systems.
- Familiarity with architectural patterns of large web applications.
- Appreciation for maintainable and well-tested code.
- Collaborative working style with a focus on team success.
- Desire to learn and understand complex systems.
- Start-up experience is a plus.
- Strong product and member mindset.
