Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and document conceptual data processes and scalable ETL solutions for migrating legacy systems to Ab Initio.
- Lead end-to-end ETL workflow design and implementation, including data extraction, transformation, loading, integration, and performance optimization.
- Gather requirements from business analysts, technical teams, stakeholders, and clients, and produce system and functional requirements documentation.
- Analyze legacy data workflows, resolve performance bottlenecks, and improve scalability, efficiency, and processing times.
- Use Ab Initio, Oracle SQL, and related technologies to support data conversion and integration.
- Create maintainable and auditable ETL design specifications and perform functional and unit testing before code handoff.
- Participate in technical peer reviews and ensure compliance with coding, design, software development lifecycle, and ETL standards.
- Design automated job schedules and improve ETL process automation.
- Ensure solutions meet DoD security and compliance requirements, including FISMA and NIST standards.
- Provide rotational on-call support and proactively monitor and maintain ETL and data integration jobs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 10 years of experience in enterprise data integration, specifically with Ab Initio and related tools.
- At least 7 years of experience in data integration, architecture, and ETL development, including at least 5 years focused on Ab Initio.
- Experience leading modernization efforts for federal government systems or large-scale enterprise data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, integration strategies, data workflows, pipelines, and transformation logic.
- Expertise developing complex ETL solutions with Ab Initio, Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle SQL, and Control-M.
- Experience troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining Ab Initio-based solutions.
- Experience with cloud-based Ab Initio platforms and integration with AWS, Azure, or similar environments.
- Extensive experience with the Ab Initio GDE, Co>Operating System, and EME components.
- Familiarity with Conduct> and Agile development environments.
- Knowledge of federal regulations and data-system security and compliance standards.
- Ab Initio certifications are highly desirable.
- Must be eligible for a security clearance; an active Secret clearance is preferred.
- Strong strategic problem-solving, communication, stakeholder-management, and client-interaction skills.
