Base Salary
$158k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize secure, scalable systems using queueing architectures, SQL databases, and NoSQL solutions.
- Build and maintain secure backend services and agents in JavaScript or other object-oriented languages.
- Develop feedback loops for AI agents and create platform capabilities for Docusign’s Extend ecosystem.
- Lead medium to large initiatives, guide architectural decisions, and provide technical mentorship.
- Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and cross-functional engineering and product organizations.
- Manage incident response coordination and participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
- Use automated unit testing, CI/CD, code reviews, version control, and Scrum development practices.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 6 years of related experience with a master’s degree.
- Experience with cloud platforms and large-scale systems, including Azure services, queueing systems, SQL databases, and NoSQL solutions such as CosmosDB.
- Experience with Node.js, C#, Java, C++, or Go.
- Experience building AI agents, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development tools such as LLM-based coding assistance.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, APIs at scale, and microservices architectures.
- Experience developing software using object-oriented methodologies and design patterns.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with highly available systems, complex scalable applications, Node.js technology stacks, databases, Microsoft Azure or AWS, and high-performance reusable code.
