Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable automation frameworks and test suites using WebdriverIO, JavaScript, and modern testing tools.
- Drive quality initiatives from test planning and automation strategy through release validation and production readiness.
- Build and maintain automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test coverage.
- Validate RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, and backend services through code-based testing.
- Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, exploratory, user-focused, performance, load, and scalability testing.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers on product reliability.
- Improve observability through logs, metrics, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Mentor engineers on testing best practices and contribute to quality engineering strategy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Test Automation.
- Strong experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks with JavaScript-based tools such as WebdriverIO, Playwright, Cypress, or TestCafe.
- Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs and service integrations through automated code-based approaches.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms, automated deployment pipelines, and test execution workflows.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with Jira and TestRail or similar test management and issue-tracking platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, database validation, test data management, and backend testing.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues, defect triage, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to lead test planning, influence quality practices, and mentor engineers.
- Preferred experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Python, JMeter, LoadRunner, k6, Kubernetes, Splunk, CloudWatch, Datadog, React, and testing SaaS or customer-facing web applications.
- Strong collaboration, communication, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
