Base Salary
$75k - $131k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive security findings, research mitigations, and analyze vulnerability-related information to remediate root causes.
- Manage high-security events, communicate risks to AWS stakeholders, and escalate issues to drive mitigation.
- Assess security risks, create solutions to security issues, and improve related technology or processes.
- Produce progress reports, briefs, and white papers concerning security issues and AWS data center operations.
- Coordinate with Amazon security and service teams and bring stakeholders together to address findings and risks.
- Translate security mitigation plans into actionable items for technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Manage email, phone, chat, and trouble-ticket communications while providing technical customer support.
- Troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems, applications, and security issues.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software development or technical support experience.
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
- Experience working nights, weekends, and extra hours as needed, including scheduled on-call coverage.
- Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software RAID preferred.
- Experience with REST web services, XML, and JSON preferred.
