Base Salary

$124k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full technical delivery lifecycle for GitLab Professional Services engagements from discovery and scoping through implementation and handoff.
  • Design and deliver GitLab reference architectures and implementation plans for self-managed, cloud, and on-premises environments.
  • Deploy and configure GitLab using Terraform, Ansible, and the GitLab Environment Toolkit.
  • Lead source code management and CI/CD migrations to GitLab, including enterprise migrations using Congregate.
  • Evaluate and communicate scalability, security, compliance, performance, and data-integrity trade-offs.
  • Provide DevOps and DevSecOps consulting and guidance on GitLab Flow and the Delivery Governance Framework.
  • Coordinate implementation work across GitLab employees, partners, and customer stakeholders.
  • Create delivery kits, documentation, training materials, case studies, presentations, and best-practice methodologies.
  • Maintain delivery automation assets and validate changes through unit and integration testing.
  • Support Statements of Work, technical vetting, staffing assessments, training review, and customer task planning while maintaining 55% billable utilization.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience delivering at least two consulting services involving source code management migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, or CI/CD consulting.
  • Enterprise software development experience with the ability to translate requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Progressive DevOps platform experience designing and implementing reliable, scalable systems with performance and security trade-offs.
  • Hands-on experience managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Ability to write maintainable automation and integration code, including Terraform modules, Ansible roles, or scripts, and validate it with testing and code review.
  • Experience performing migrations to GitLab using Congregate or similar tooling.
  • Working knowledge of data consistency and integrity concepts, including ACID properties, and their impact on migration design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for leading customer and partner technical discussions and communicating risks and trade-offs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision in a remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another advanced technical field, or equivalent experience.
