Base Salary
$125k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design, implement, test, and maintain embedded firmware in C/C++.
- Support the development and debugging process using software tools and hardware instrumentation.
- Write and maintain unit and functional tests to improve firmware reliability and performance.
- Contribute to firmware architecture, documentation, and code quality initiatives.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues spanning embedded software, hardware, and communication interfaces.
- Participate in code reviews and cross-functional technical discussions.
- Contribute to efforts that optimize embedded resource utilization and power efficiency.
- Leverage AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and engineering effectiveness.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US government issued security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or current pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of embedded software development experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and foundational knowledge of embedded systems and communication protocols.
- Familiarity with Git, testing methodologies, and development tools such as Jira.
- Exposure to operating systems and/or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Ability to use electronic lab equipment for debugging and validation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
- Commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks.
