Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and evolve high-performance Java backend systems.
- Build and maintain microservices-based applications with clean, efficient, maintainable code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and deliver quality software.
- Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, automated testing, and continuous improvement.
- Support internal and external stakeholders when needed.
- Stay current with Java trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong experience with Java 17, with migration to Java 25 underway, and Spring Boot 2.6, with an upgrade to Spring Boot 4 underway.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and multithreading/concurrency.
- Experience with MySQL, Hibernate/JPA, JUnit, Git, and modern software development workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM tools in software development, including prompting, code validation, security, and responsible AI-assisted development.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, CI/CD, observability, and production troubleshooting is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken Greek and English communication skills.
- Collaborative, proactive, and strong problem-solving approach with a commitment to high-quality software.
