Quality Engineering Specialist
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Run manual and basic automated tests to identify software defects and verify fixes.
- Perform AI application testing, including running evaluations, analyzing traces, and monitoring results.
- Review product requirements and create test cases and test plans.
- Log, track, and retest bugs using Jira or ADO.
- Collaborate with software developers and product managers to troubleshoot issues and understand system features.
- Provide daily or weekly testing progress and quality reports.
- Suggest improvements to make testing faster and more accurate.
- Perform performance testing for cloud and on-premises deployments.
- Test infrastructure and application deployments involving Docker and Kubernetes.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably with a computer science specialization.
- Understanding of the software testing life cycle and bug life cycle.
- Experience with manual functional, regression, and UI/UX testing.
- Basic knowledge of automation tools or scripting such as Playwright, Python, or JavaScript is preferred.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman and MCP Inspector is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
