Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and evolve major components of next-generation benefits infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship while ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Collaborate with Area Tech Leads, Team Leads, engineers, and cross-functional teams to align with YouTube Commerce architecture.
- Accelerate benefits platformization and support growth of YouTube’s paid product ecosystem.
- Contribute to high-impact and visible objectives and key results at YouTube.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: experience with B2B or e-commerce software, particularly using C++.
- Preferred: understanding of Google software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Preferred: excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
