Base Salary
$180k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to customers evaluating and adopting Databricks Data and AI solutions.
- Consult on big data architecture and implement proofs of concept for strategic customer, data science, and machine learning projects.
- Validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
- Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and demo applications.
- Provide escalated support for critical customer operational issues.
- Evangelize Databricks open-source projects through developer meetups, conferences, and webinars.
- Collaborate with sales, subject matter expert groups, and cross-functional company teams.
- Travel to customers up to 30%.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
- Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
- Ability to program in and debug at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
- Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka; data warehousing such as SQL, OLTP, OLAP, or DSS; or data science and machine learning technologies such as pandas, scikit-learn, or HPO.
- Comfort communicating technical ideas through presentations, whiteboarding, architecture discussions, and platform demonstrations.
- A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research is preferred.
- Databricks Certification is a preferred qualification.
