Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, and GRC.
- Build and maintain Flow Designer flows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, ACLs, and script includes.
- Develop REST and SOAP integrations between ServiceNow and third-party systems.
- Create and maintain Service Portal widgets and custom UI components.
- Participate in platform upgrades and ensure custom code and configurations remain compatible.
- Perform unit testing, support UAT, and troubleshoot defects across development, test, and production instances.
- Collaborate on data model design, ACL and security architecture, and performance optimization.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, code reviews, and mentoring.
- Create technical documentation including design specifications, release notes, and knowledge base articles.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs including GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideForm, and GlideSystem, and server- and client-side scripting.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Workflow Editor, ServiceNow data models, ACLs, business rules, and update sets.
- Experience building and consuming REST and SOAP web services and integrations; MID Server experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Service Portal, AngularJS, Bootstrap, UI Builder, or Now Experience Framework.
- Experience with at least one core ServiceNow module, including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, or SecOps.
- Understanding of ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices for ServiceNow, such as ServiceNow DevOps and Automated Test Framework.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or CIS certifications, Performance Analytics or Reporting experience, Now Assist/AI feature experience, Otto or Autonomous Workforce/AI Specialists knowledge, AI Control Tower knowledge, scaled/vector database experience, LDAP/SSO/SAML integration experience, Python scripting, and electric utility industry experience.
