Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations, and module configurations.
- Build Flow Designer flows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, ACLs, script includes, Service Portal widgets, and custom UI components.
- Develop and support REST/SOAP integrations with third-party systems and participate in platform upgrades.
- Perform unit testing, support UAT, troubleshoot defects, and optimize performance across development, test, and production instances.
- Collaborate with architects, administrators, business stakeholders, and other teams on requirements, data models, security architecture, and platform solutions.
- Create technical documentation, participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is required.
- At least 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is required.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and server-side and client-side scripting is required.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Workflow Editor, ServiceNow data models, ACLs, business rules, update sets, REST/SOAP web services, and integrations is required.
- Experience with Service Portal, AngularJS, Bootstrap, UI Builder, or Now Experience Framework is required or expected.
- Experience with at least one core ServiceNow module and understanding of ITIL processes are required.
- Experience with Git and ServiceNow CI/CD practices such as ServiceNow DevOps or Automated Test Framework is required.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or additional Certified Implementation Specialist certifications, Performance Analytics or reporting experience, knowledge of Now Assist/AI features, Otto, Autonomous Workforce/AI Specialists, AI Control Tower, complex enterprise integrations, scaled/vector databases, LDAP/SSO/SAML, Python, or the electric utility industry.
