Responsibilities

Develop and maintain complex Python-based software solutions, data pipelines, and AI/ML systems.
Manage technical objectives and drive architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable, and efficient systems.
Collaborate with researchers, portfolio managers, and technical teams across WorldQuant.
Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior team members.
Research, design, code, test, and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling.
Explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a top-tier institution.
At least 5 years of experience as a Python developer focused on data engineering and AI/ML systems.
Expert knowledge of Python and its ecosystem, including Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
Experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and efficient data pipelines.
Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Expertise with Git, CI/CD practices, and agile methodologies.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical groups.
Finance industry experience is preferred but not required.
Experience with PyTorch, scikit-learn, large language models, agents, or systems of agents is a significant plus.
