Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain IBM i (AS400) applications.
- Develop and enhance programs using RPG IV, ILE RPG, Free-Format RPG, Fixed format RPG, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE.
- Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Create and maintain Physical Files, Logical Files, SQL Tables, Views, and Indexes.
- Develop and maintain batch, online, and interface programs.
- Perform unit testing and integration testing.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development standards.
- Prepare technical design and support documentation.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Use debugging tools such as STRDBG and job logs.
Requirements
- Experience developing applications on the IBM i (AS400) platform.
- Experience with RPG IV, ILE RPG, Free-Format RPG, Fixed format RPG, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE.
- Experience creating and maintaining database objects and developing batch, online, and interface programs.
- Experience with debugging tools such as STRDBG and job logs.
- Familiarity with source control and change management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
