Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Python using Flask and FastAPI.
- Develop production-ready AI and LLM APIs with synchronous and asynchronous patterns, WebSocket streaming, authentication, and access control.
- Implement GPT and open-source model solutions, including prompt design, evaluation, versioning, and cost/performance optimization.
- Build RAG pipelines covering ingestion, embeddings, vector search, and agent/tool-calling workflows.
- Integrate databases, APIs, file systems, messaging platforms, and other internal or external tools and data sources for LLM-based agents.
- Develop database schemas, efficient queries, transaction handling, and ORM integrations with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Apply classical machine learning and statistical techniques when they provide simpler or more cost-effective solutions.
- Write secure, reliable, efficient, and well-documented code while debugging and profiling performance.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a corporate IT environment.
- At least 1 year of experience across AI, machine learning, Python, Flask, and FastAPI, or a combination of at least three of these areas, with AI experience required.
- Strong software design, debugging, and performance profiling skills.
- Solid SQL Server and PostgreSQL knowledge, including schema design, indexing, optimization, and ORM experience.
- Experience with security, privacy, compliance practices, secret management, data handling, and access control.
- Strong commitment to secure, reliable, well-documented, quality-focused software.
- Preferred exposure to Docker and Kubernetes for deployment workflows.
- Preferred familiarity with GitHub Actions and automated testing, build, and deployment pipelines.
- Preferred light JavaScript experience for integration or tooling.
- Ability to work in an organized, self-directed, deadline-focused manner in distributed teams.
