Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and integrate AI-powered tools and frameworks for UI authoring, iteration, and debugging.
- Own and evolve the UI technology codebase used for Unreal Engine tools and in-game UI.
- Set technical direction for UI tooling and mentor other programmers.
- Collaborate across disciplines to identify improvements, gather feedback, and design solutions for developers.
- Profile and resolve performance and memory issues in UI systems.
- Help Epic internal teams and Unreal Engine licensees solve UI challenges.
Requirements
- Strong tools-programming experience building development workflow tools for games or other fields.
- Deep expertise in UI frameworks, runtime UI engines, and editor/WYSIWYG tooling.
- Excellent C++ skills and experience working in a large codebase.
- Some hands-on exposure to AI-powered or agentic workflows through work, courses, or personal projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience with Unreal Engine, Slate, UMG, and shipped titles in games or real-time applications is preferred.
