Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performing applications and APIs using .NET technologies.
- Build and enhance software solutions for McDonald’s digital loyalty customer experience platform.
- Lead feature delivery, decompose stories, mentor engineers, coordinate multiple engineers, and manage technical risks within feature areas.
- Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations for internal systems and external partners.
- Perform code reviews and improve code quality, system reliability, and development processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
- Support cloud-native application development, modernization, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, logging, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, quality, engineering, marketing, data, and globally distributed teams.
- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, technology evaluations, and engineering mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience building enterprise applications and services.
- Experience with C#, .NET, RESTful APIs, web services, cloud-native applications on GCP and AWS, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, relational and/or NoSQL databases, source control systems, and collaborative development practices.
- Understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and common architectural patterns.
- Experience troubleshooting application issues and supporting production systems.
- Familiarity with Agile development and Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems, integration platforms, high-volume transactional applications, monitoring, logging, observability, automated unit/integration/end-to-end testing, Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar event-streaming platforms.
