Base Salary
$119k - $232k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the architectural vision and system design for core AI/ML services.
- Lead complex, multi-quarter initiatives from inception through global deployment.
- Design and build distributed deep learning infrastructure and platforms for large-scale model training.
- Translate product requirements and ambiguous business problems into scalable technical designs and ML architectures.
- Partner with Product Management, Core Engineering, and executive stakeholders to align ML capabilities with business strategy.
- Mentor senior and mid-level data scientists and engineers while raising engineering standards across teams.
- Define code quality expectations, standard methodologies, and architecture design review practices.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines that move ML services and models reliably into production.
- Work with accelerators, network fabrics, AI training infrastructure, and large-scale data ecosystems.
Requirements
- A PhD or master’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics, or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 7 years of industry machine learning experience with a track record operating at Lead, Principal, or Staff level.
- Deep expertise designing complex machine learning systems, ranking infrastructures, and high-throughput data pipelines.
- Production experience with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Strong production programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or C++, plus knowledge of software design principles and algorithms.
- Ability to independently resolve large, ambiguous technical problems.
- A strong history of collaborating with, elevating, and mentoring engineering talent.
