Base Salary

$157k - $291k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Plan the evolution, retirement, and replacement of business-unit systems.
  • Provide architecture and design for large development and infrastructure engineering efforts.
  • Review and approve infrastructure subsystem and component changes.
  • Monitor system health and design solutions to address negative trends.
  • Evaluate new technologies and acquisition candidates for executive management.
  • Develop information security procedures, support security audits, and respond to enterprise security incidents.
  • Act as a conduit between Global Architecture and engineering or development teams.
  • Drive technical direction and architecture evolution through reviews and hands-on leadership.
  • Lead teams in troubleshooting complex project issues and translate findings into solutions, risks, impacts, and schedule adjustments.
  • Research industry and technology advancements and build alliances to advance technical opportunities.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in software, network, or systems architecture.
  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience required; an advanced degree is required.
  • Master-level architectural design expertise and strong knowledge of architectural governance.
  • Master-level knowledge of programming languages such as .NET, Java, HTML, Perl, C++, C#, or PHP, or expert-level knowledge in an engineering discipline.
  • Expertise in multiple areas including parallel and distributed processing, information retrieval, data mining, natural language processing, very large-scale databases, declarative languages, and high-performance computing.
  • Working knowledge of network design, storage system architectures, service-oriented architecture technologies, XML and XSLT, and parallel processing architectures such as SMP and NUMA.
  • Experience with multiple operating systems, including Windows Server, UNIX/Linux, and z/OS.
  • Strong research, organization, project planning, change management, delegation, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Experience leading teams across multiple functional groups and departments and managing projects of varying size and complexity.

Benefits

  • U.S. national base pay range is $156,700-$290,900, with geographic differentials possible; the role is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
