Responsibilities
- Deliver new backend functionality and features using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Improve code quality and continuously enhance the codebase.
- Contribute significantly to technical decisions and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Own the development lifecycle from coding through production deployment and monitoring.
- Identify and remove blockers, waste, and other sources of inefficiency.
- Support production systems and improve reliability.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers and other disciplines on end-to-end features and cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with C# and .NET and current language or framework features.
- Experience mentoring engineers and pair-programming with colleagues.
- Experience collaborating across disciplines to deliver end-to-end features.
- Experience with identity and authentication systems such as IdentityServer, OpenID Connect, and OAuth2.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as GitHub Actions, TeamCity, or Spacelift.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS; Azure or GCP experience is also valuable.
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly Terraform.
- Strong observability experience involving logging, monitoring, and alerting, with familiarity with New Relic and ELK Stack.
- Experience supporting production systems and improving reliability.
- Strong experience building and operating microservices architectures.
- Experience with event-driven systems, asynchronous messaging patterns, distributed systems, and scalability challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and curiosity about AI and emerging tools.
