Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications using IBM Mainframe Utilities, VSAM, JCL, and COBOL.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of data management processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mainframe applications.
- Optimize and enhance existing software systems for performance.
- Conduct code reviews and follow software development best practices and standards.
- Create and maintain application and process documentation.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Implement data management solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and resolve data integrity and performance issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 4 to 8 years of experience in IBM Mainframe Utilities, VSAM, JCL, and COBOL.
- Strong understanding of IBM Mainframe Utilities, VSAM, JCL, and COBOL.
- Solid background in data management and related processes.
- Experience optimizing and enhancing software systems.
- IBM Mainframe Certified Application Developer certification or an equivalent certification relevant to mainframe technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to quality, continuous learning, issue resolution, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
