Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cloud-based data engineering solutions using AWS and Python.
- Develop and work with knowledge graphs for enterprise digital products.
- Create high-quality data pipelines and optimise their performance through diagnostics.
- Work with relational databases and enterprise data platforms.
- Build and maintain containerised workloads using Docker.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines while upholding code quality and automated testing standards.
- Collaborate with distributed teams and clients to translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable applications.
- Complete a live coding assessment demonstrating Python expertise, problem-solving, and coding best practices during the interview process.
Requirements
- Professional experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on cloud-based data engineering using AWS.
- Strong Python development expertise for production systems.
- Hands-on experience building and working with knowledge graphs.
- Strong experience with relational databases and enterprise data platforms.
- Experience building high-quality data pipelines, including performance optimisation and diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerised workloads.
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- High standards for code quality, automated testing, and maintainable design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in complex environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with enterprise-scale data platforms is desirable.
- Interest in generative AI and applied machine learning is desirable.
- Experience with SPARQL is desirable.
- Candidates must be based in the UK and must not require visa sponsorship.
