Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain cloud-based data engineering solutions using AWS and Python.
  • Develop and work with knowledge graphs for enterprise digital products.
  • Create high-quality data pipelines and optimise their performance through diagnostics.
  • Work with relational databases and enterprise data platforms.
  • Build and maintain containerised workloads using Docker.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines while upholding code quality and automated testing standards.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams and clients to translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable applications.
  • Complete a live coding assessment demonstrating Python expertise, problem-solving, and coding best practices during the interview process.

Requirements

  • Professional experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on cloud-based data engineering using AWS.
  • Strong Python development expertise for production systems.
  • Hands-on experience building and working with knowledge graphs.
  • Strong experience with relational databases and enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience building high-quality data pipelines, including performance optimisation and diagnostics.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and containerised workloads.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • High standards for code quality, automated testing, and maintainable design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with enterprise-scale data platforms is desirable.
  • Interest in generative AI and applied machine learning is desirable.
  • Experience with SPARQL is desirable.
  • Candidates must be based in the UK and must not require visa sponsorship.
