Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize ingestion, transformation, and enrichment pipelines for security, technology, and business data.
- Build and maintain Snowflake data models and warehouse objects for reporting, visualization, automation, and AI-enabled use cases.
- Develop automation that reduces manual data handling and reporting effort while improving platform reliability.
- Prepare AI-ready data and support AI-enabled analytics and reasoning workflows.
- Add business and technical context to security data to improve prioritization and decision-making.
- Apply software engineering practices including version control, testing, code review, and continuous integration.
- Operate production pipelines and data products by monitoring health, responding to failures, and resolving ingestion and pipeline issues.
- Partner with global security, IT, studio, platform, and engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable data and reporting.
- Document data models, pipelines, and solutions and share knowledge with teammates.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience creating analytics, reporting, data engineering, or data platform solutions.
- Hands-on SQL, strong database technology knowledge, and hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Experience building analytics or data warehouse pipelines and applying data modeling concepts.
- Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production ingestion and pipeline failures.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Java, R, or similar.
- Experience preparing data for or supporting AI-enabled analytics or machine learning workflows.
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and platform SDKs or APIs.
- Experience applying version control, testing, and continuous integration practices to analytics code.
- Experience working with large, complex data sets; security, technology, risk, or compliance data is a plus.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and communicating data and technical tradeoffs clearly.
- Preferred experience with advanced Snowflake features including tasks, streams, dynamic tables, and performance tuning.
- Preferred experience with dbt or a similar transformation and modeling framework.
- Preferred experience automating data workflows or building AI-ready or AI-enabled data products.
- Working knowledge of security risk, vulnerability, asset, identity, cloud, or control data sets is preferred.
- Familiarity with data quality, governance, or lineage concepts is preferred.
- Experience with Domo or similar BI and visualization platforms, including dashboards, is preferred.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and third-party JavaScript visualizations is preferred.
- Exposure to cybersecurity concepts such as vulnerabilities, controls, cloud security, identity, incident response, or risk is preferred.
- Some travel may be required.
