Responsibilities
- Design, implement, deliver, and maintain calibration and validation pipelines and their supporting infrastructure.
- Build scalable workflows and cloud services that process large quantities of fleet and sensor data.
- Write SQL-based validation tests and collaborate with hardware and data teams to validate cameras, LiDAR, IMUs, and radars.
- Improve and simplify the shared Vision library and enable other engineering teams to build on shared infrastructure.
- Maintain software repositories, including code reviews, dependency management, versioning, and contribution standards.
- Instrument and monitor production systems while improving reliability, maintainability, and observability.
- Contribute to validation, quality assurance, backfill, and data reconciliation services across their lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL with experience writing production-quality, testable, and modular code.
- Experience building and maintaining reliable, maintainable, and scalable cloud-based data pipelines.
- Experience managing software repositories across multiple teams, including code reviews, dependency management, versioning, and contribution standards.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tooling for production service health.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.
- Preferred experience with Spark, BigQuery, or similar large-scale data-processing frameworks.
- Preferred familiarity with camera, LiDAR, IMU, and radar sensor modalities and autonomous-driving systems.
- Preferred experience contributing to shared platform or framework libraries, backfill and data reconciliation services, and validation or quality-assurance systems.
- Preferred record of improving observability and operational reliability in cloud-native or distributed-systems environments.
