Responsibilities
- Own a primary focus in production quantitative engineering or applied quantitative modelling.
- Implement quantitative work in Python from research or prototypes through reliable production systems.
- Validate, backtest, and monitor model and service performance against realized outcomes.
- Handle deployment, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Develop shared quantitative libraries, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, monitoring, alerting, and reliability for real-time pricing and risk systems.
- Contribute to market data pipelines, quantitative infrastructure, backtesting frameworks, risk modelling, customer behaviour modelling, pricing strategy, and product development.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant quantitative or engineering experience and strong Python development skills.
- A quantitative background in mathematics, physics, engineering, or finance, with the ability to reason about model correctness.
- Experience taking quantitative work into production and owning its validation, monitoring, and improvement.
- Clear communication and the ability to collaborate with quants, analysts, traders, product managers, and engineers.
- Research-track candidates should have strong quantitative research or financial modelling experience, including backtesting and out-of-sample validation.
- Developer-track candidates should have strong experience with microservices, databases, production infrastructure, testing, monitoring, debugging, streaming systems, real-time data pipelines, or event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with FX or financial markets, term structure modelling, stochastic calculus, Monte Carlo methods, interest-rate curve bootstrapping, algorithmic execution, or data lake and warehouse technologies is a bonus.
