Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, performant backend code primarily in Go.
- Implement new microservices and help migrate away from legacy services.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists to translate requirements into technical designs.
- Optimize systems for latency, reliability, and responsiveness under heavy load.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable backend services, or 5+ years for senior-level consideration.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and proficiency in Go or another strong programming language such as Python, C++, Java, or Ruby.
- In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis, plus experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- At least one year of hands-on mapping experience involving noisy geospatial data, map matching, road-network graphs, or routing algorithms.
- Preferred qualifications include navigation-system intuition, OSRM experience, C++ proficiency, and familiarity with OpenStreetMap.
