Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable, highly testable Python systems for Cboe Europe’s trading operations.
- Develop innovative products and features in collaboration with business development and sales teams.
- Analyze requirements, implement features, and contribute to complex software projects.
- Collaborate with developers in Europe and the United States.
- Participate in R&D projects to evaluate and implement promising technologies.
- Debug complex engineering and operational problems.
- Provide production support through an incident-response rota and contribute to post-mortem actions.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Python.
- Ability to write testable and maintainable code.
- Knowledge of SQL and ability to compose complex queries.
- Basic Linux knowledge.
- Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with TDD, BDD, or other testing methodologies is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Django, Flask, FastAPI, Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, or Java is preferred.
