Base Salary
$208k - $324k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own Rubrik Professional Services’ global cloud architecture standards, including reference architectures, design patterns, guardrails, and anti-patterns.
- Serve as the final technical escalation point for cloud architecture decisions on strategic global engagements.
- Lead architecture and design for complex multi-region, multi-cloud, and multi-regulator customer environments.
- Advise CIO, CTO, Chief Architect, and CISO stakeholders and defend architecture decisions in customer review boards.
- Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales on technical validation, effort estimation, risk assessment, and strategic pursuits.
- Lead customer briefings and multi-day design workshops both onsite and remotely.
- Create reusable technical IP, deployment automation, design templates, decision trees, and delivery accelerators.
- Mentor Solutions Architects and senior consultants, define cloud competency standards, and support technical interviewing.
- Represent Professional Services at conferences, customer advisory boards, and in published technical material.
- Influence Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Customer Success on roadmap, supportability, and systemic technical issues.
Requirements
- 15+ years of overall experience, including 8+ years as a hands-on cloud architect at enterprise scale.
- Demonstrated ownership of multi-region, multi-account or multi-subscription cloud architecture in an enterprise or consulting/professional services organization.
- Expert-level AWS and Azure experience; GCP experience strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of compute, storage, networking, identity, encryption, key management, data protection, cyber resilience, RTO/RPO modeling, backup and recovery, and isolated or air-gapped recovery.
- Working fluency with cloud security and compliance frameworks in regulated industries.
- Strong automation experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Python, PowerShell, API-first integration, and CI/CD.
- Demonstrated influence without authority across global, matrixed organizations and multiple time zones.
- Executive-grade communication skills and experience building reusable technical IP.
- Ability to learn complex platforms to expert depth; prior Rubrik experience is not required.
- Kubernetes and containerized workload architecture experience is a plus.
- SaaS data protection experience with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Prior Principal, Distinguished, or Technical Director experience in vendor professional services or a major systems integrator is a plus.
- Professional or expert-level certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.
- Established public technical presence through talks, writing, open source, or community leadership is a plus.
